By accessing or using Make A QR Code at makeaqrcode.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Service Description & QR Code Types

Make A QR Code provides tools for generating, customizing, downloading, and managing Quick Response (QR) codes. We offer two primary types of QR codes:

Static QR Codes: The target payload or destination URL is encoded directly into the QR pattern. Static codes do not route through our servers during scanning, cannot be edited after creation, and do not track scan analytics.
Dynamic QR Codes: Scans are routed through our redirection engine (e.g. s.makeaqrcode.app or makeaqrcode.app/r/[codeId]) to enable destination updates, scan count tracking, and device analytics.

3. Acceptable Use & Fair Usage Policy

You agree to use the Service solely for lawful purposes. You must NOT use Make A QR Code to generate codes that link to:

Phishing, malware, scam websites, or malicious software downloads.
Unlawful content, hate speech, or material promoting violence.
Deceptive URLs intended to impersonate legitimate organizations.
Spam campaigns or automated high-frequency abuse designed to degrade platform performance.

⚠️ We reserve the right to immediately disable any dynamic QR code that violates our Acceptable Use Policy without prior notice.

4. Accounts & Authentication

Users may generate QR codes anonymously or upgraded using secure account authentication (e.g. Google Sign-In or email credentials). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities performed under your account.

5. Intellectual Property & Exported Files

You retain all ownership rights to the content and destination URLs encoded into your QR codes. Make A QR Code grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to download, print, publish, and commercially distribute the SVG/PNG image files generated by the Service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. MAKE A QR CODE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM SCAN REDIRECTION INTERRUPTIONS.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date above.
